Common questions, all in one place.

How does LyricWinter turn my writing into audio?

Add your text and LyricWinter separates narration from dialogue, identifies the speakers, and suggests a voice for each one. You can review the cast, direction, pronunciation, and sound effects before generating the scene.

What kinds of writing can I use?

LyricWinter works with writing that has narration, dialogue, or both, including:

  • Fanfiction, light novels, and web novels when the source allows you to copy the text
  • Original novel chapters, audiobook samples, and bedtime stories
  • Screenplays, table reads, video narration, and comic dubs
Do I need to add speaker names or special formatting?

No. Paste your story or script the way you wrote it. LyricWinter finds the speakers for you. If it gets a line wrong, you can fix it before making the audio.

Can I choose the voices or clone my own?

LyricWinter identifies the speakers and suggests assignments from your voice library based on the story. You can review or change every voice before generating.

Add or clone your own voice in My Voices, then assign it to any speaker or let LyricWinter suggest it when the name matches.

Can I control emotional direction, pronunciation, and sound effects?

Emotional direction: With Inworld 2, LyricWinter uses the surrounding scene to guide each line's delivery. You can inspect and adjust that direction before generating.

Pronunciation: After character detection, choose Fix pronunciation beside Voice Selection. Preview the corrected line, then regenerate only the affected clips.

Sound effects: Enable SFX and LyricWinter places effects where the scene calls for them. You can edit the cues or turn them off for clean narration.

Can I redo just one line or sound effect?

Yes. You can redo one spoken line or one sound effect without remaking the whole scene. Ask LyricWinter to try again, or first tell it how you want that part to sound.

Can I download the finished audio?

Yes. Download the complete story as an MP3 for sharing, or keep the original-quality WAV.

Can I try LyricWinter before paying?

Yes. The free plan gives you 2,500 words each month. You can hear how LyricWinter works before you pay. Paid credits are ready to use right away and are not refundable. If something goes wrong with a purchase, please email us.

How are words counted?

LyricWinter shows the count before you generate audio. Billing is based on text tokens, then displayed as words so different languages and formatting are handled consistently. For plain English, one word is usually about five typed characters.

Do unused credits expire?

Your word balance stays with you until you use it.
