How are words counted?
LyricWinter shows the word count before you generate audio. Words are calculated from LLM tokens so billing stays consistent across different languages and formatting. For plain English text, one word is usually about five typed characters.
Does LyricWinter apply emotion?
Yes. When you use Inworld-2 as the voice backend, LyricWinter analyzes emotional context across dialogue and guides the narration. A line that sounds neutral on its own may still be read through tears when the surrounding scene is sad. Manual steering is also available.
Does LyricWinter have SFX?
Yes. When SFX Beta is checked, LyricWinter will automatically add sound effects to your audio. Manual SFX is also available, and you can turn it off if you want clean narration.
Does LyricWinter support custom pronunciation?
Yes. Set the voice backend to inworld-2 or inworld-1.5-max, then wrap IPA pronunciation text in slashes. Example: The banana is in the smoothie. becomes The /bəˈnɛ:nə/ is in the smoothie.
Can I clone my voice?
Yes. Visit My Voices to add your own voice. LyricWinter will use it when it finds a matching speaker name, or you can assign it manually.
Does LyricWinter automatically assign voices?
Yes. LyricWinter first identifies the speakers in your story and matches dialogue to them. Then it uses story context to assign voices to those speakers from your voice library. You can review and change the assignments before generating audio. Manage your available voices in My Voices.
