Frequently asked questions
Which Substack links can I import?
Public publication.substack.com/p/post links, Substack profile post links, and open.substack.com post links are supported. Use a specific post, not a homepage or archive. Custom publication domains are not supported yet.
Can I import subscriber-only posts?
The importer reads text available at the public URL. For subscriber-only posts, paste the text directly into Studio.
How do I put the audio on Substack?
Export an MP3 from Studio and upload it using Substack’s native audio block. For sites that accept HTML audio, Studio also offers an audio embed through the section’s public sharing controls.
Will later edits to the Substack post sync automatically?
No. Importing creates a copy you can edit in Studio. Re-import or update the Studio text when the source changes, then generate the updated audio.
